The Symphony Of Flavours: The Cocktail

To some, cocktails are the crowning glory of evening drinks – the high point of liquid delight. To others, they’re nothing more than a mishmash of top shelf ingredients watered down with ice. And let’s not forget the bunch who view cocktails as a dizzying mystery, with one unfortunate experience enough to put them off for life.

Here’s the twist in our tale: at Ty’n Rhos, cocktails aren’t just fancy drinks; they’re a symphony of flavours, a careful balance of quality ingredients, an understanding of individual palates, and most importantly, the experience a good cocktail brings.

Picture this: you’re standing at the bar, you’re presented with a list of cocktails that is as vast as the ocean, each more intriguing than the last.  It’s exciting – sure – but also an overwhelming panorama. It’s normally at this point, that tiny voice in your head pipes up, ‘wouldn’t it be simpler to just stick to the usual?’

The variety of cocktails is almost limitless. That’s why most bars that serve cocktails fall into the trap of thinking that more is better.

We disagree.

So, we did the opposite.

What we did, was to curate a very short list of our takes on classics that our customers love.  In fact, just 9 cocktails.  While it’s short – it’s diverse. From the bitter-sweet, powerful Negroni, to the mellow and refreshing Pimm’s cup. A list we can tailor. A list we can guide you through.  A list we can even tell you the stories behind.

To us, cocktails are personal; as such, the hallmark of a good cocktail bar is not one with an exhaustive list, or the fanciest names, but one that takes pride in understanding how great cocktails come together.  How flavours mix, dance, and play. How the symphony comes together.

So whether you’re a seasoned cocktail aficionado like Hemingway, or prefer non-alcoholic concoctions akin to a Shirley Temple, we look forward to seeing you at the bar.
