Welsh Wagyu Beef
We are delighted to now serve Welsh Wagyu Beef- directly from our suppliers family farm within Montgomeryshire.
Wagyu cattle are very famous worldwide for their excellent taste and marbled meat, which is promoted by their lifestyles. Wagyu cattle graze in clover fields and benefit from drinking beer and obtaining massages.
Our supplier maintains these traditions by feeding his cattle Welsh ale (which comes from Monty’s – an excellent Welsh brewery just along the road) as well as granting them regular massages.
It is no surprise that with this lifestyle, Wagyu beef is understood to be the very best in the world.
Wagyu cattle are classed as a national treasure by their home country of Japan, barred from leaving the country, and raising them is considered an artform.
Wagyu cattle consist of three major bloodlines – Tajima, Fujiyoshi, and Kedaka. Ifor’s bull, Abramovich, is of the Kedaka bloodline- known for their large frames, and outstanding marbling.
Our restaurant in Caernarfon benefits from a steady supply of this beef.
We serve 10-12oz sirloin cuts of this very rare meat with triple-cooked chips, roast carrots, fine beans, bearnaise and onion puree.
If you would like to enjoy this meal please let us know when you make your advanced booking. (£50.00 Supplement)
