On a mission – full solar ahead!

The next big step for Ty’n Rhos.

Future-proofing the beautiful old building of Ty’n Rhos is a top priority for us. It’s not just about making it more environmentally sustainable; it’s also about ensuring that our guests, who cherish the peace and tranquillity of this place, can enjoy it for years to come.

Given the buildings age, its location and the unpredictable weather we often face – being just a stones throw from Snowdon / Yr Wyddfa, it’s no easy task.

But we’ve done our homework, meticulously calculated our carbon footprint, taken courses and carefully weighed our options.

The result?

The next big step for Ty’n Rhos involves harnessing the power of the sun with solar energy.

The approved system will be fitted to the south-facing barn roof maximising its potential without compromising the property’s charm. Plus, it means we’ll be able to provide EV charging facilities for our guests – with Ty’n Rhos being off the beaten track, we’re aware of the growing need for more convenient charging options.

Installation began last week and is due to be completed in the next week or so – just in time to soak up that summer sun!!!
