Betws-y-coed & Swallow Falls

It is the cross roads of the River Conwy and its three tributaries flowing from the West (the Llugwy, the Lledr and the Machno). It is considered the ‘principal village’ within the Snowdonia National Park.
The beauty lies in the dense woodland surrounding the village, the cascading waterfalls including Swallow Falls, hilltop lakes, river pools and ancient bridges.
Betws-y-coed has a lovely village feel with country pubs, outdoor & mountaineering and craft shops.

Beddgelert

‘Gelert’s Grave’
One of the most beautiful villages in Snowdonia. The Colwyn and Glaslyn rivers meet near the ancient bridge in the centre of the village where there is also a historic church. Follow the walk to Gelert’s Grave and read the famous story about Gelert the dog, a wolf and Llewelyn Prince of North Wales. Continue the walk next to the stream and stop for an award winning ice cream. Approx. 15 miles

Conwy & Llandudno

Llandudno is a traditional Victorian seaside town with its very own pier to walk along and with plenty of shops to browse around for the afternoon. Famous for its cable-hauled tramway to the top of the Great Orme. Very close proximity to Conwy so best to explore both in the one day. Conwy is a historic little town walled by Conwy Castle with Deganwy Quay nearby.

Llyn Peninsula

Extending 30 miles into the Irish Sea, the Llyn Peninsula boasts beautiful blue flag beaches such as Abersoch, a very popular destination among tourists visiting the area for walking coastal paths and water-sports.

Portmeirion & Porthmadog

Portmeirion is a private village with a very ‘Italian’ feel – exotic and tranquil, set in 70 acres of sub-tropical woodland gardens. A selection of little shops and café’s as well as a beautiful hotel terrace at the bottom to stop for Lunch.
This village is where scenes from The Prisoner were set.
There is an entry charge into the village. Porthmadog Town Centre is just a few miles away if you wanted to make a day of the area. Approx. 25 miles

Llanberis

The town is most synonymous with Mount Snowdon Walk and Railway, however Llanberis also has a beautiful lake with a little railway surrounding it. Llanberis holds the National Slate Museum where you can learn the history of slate production, how it’s made along with purchasing slate souvenirs. The Electric Mountain attraction showcasing hydro-power is also situated in in this village. In 2014 the opening of a new attraction, the quarry hospital museum. Approx. 12-15 minutes’ drive

Bangor & Caernarfon

Both located 4 ½ miles away. Caernarfon town famous for Caernarfon Castle and Bangor City holds a beautiful Cathedral and is a University town. Bangor also has a pretty pier for a short stroll.

Isle of Anglesey

We are just 2 ½ miles away from the bridges which cross onto Anglesey. A 30 minute drive will take you to Holyhead one of the main ferry ports to cross to Ireland.
An abundance to do on this small island from the beautiful beach and forest walk of Newborough to pretty towns of Beaumaris or Menai with good restaurants and quaint little shops.
Other areas of interest are; Red Wharf Bay, Rhosneigr, RSPB reserve, South Stack area and Trearddur Bay.

Chester

A beautiful and historic Roman city lying on the River Dee. The actual city is full of the most beautiful medieval buildings with a lot of black & white façade shop fronts and quirky covered walkways. There is plenty to do here, an abundance of designer shops, boutiques, restaurants & bars. River cruises, shopping outlet just out of town (Cheshire Oaks) & Chester Racecourse.
