Climb Snowdon (with RAW Adventures)
RAW Adventures provide a professional leadership service for groups or individuals who plan to climb Snowdon. RAW Adventures have proven experience with a variety of groups, including charity challenge groups, families, schools, scout groups and even television crews!
Zip World
Newly opened in 2013 but fast becoming one of North Wales biggest activities. This one is definitely for those who love speed and heights! The Zip Line can get up to speeds of 100mph. It is Europe’s longest and fastest Zip Line. Located in Penrhyn Quarry nestled amongst the Snowdonia Mountains.
Zip World has two Zip Lines; ‘Little Zipper’ which can get to speeds of 40mph is completed first before you move on to ‘Big Zipper’.
In between Zip World offers a Quarry tour which once was the largest slate quarry.
This is a fabulous experience that really will take your breath away! However, this is a busy attraction and we would highly recommend that you book this in advance of your stay.
Electric Mountain
The Electric Mountain is First Hydro Company’s Visitor centre, situated against the spectacular backdrop of Snowdonia in the historic village of Llanberis. It is the starting point for the tour of Dinorwig Power Station, which is comprised of 16km of underground tunnels! Admission to the visitor centre itself is free, however, in order to participate in the hour long tour in one of Europe’s largest man-made caverns, discovering the powers of hydro-electricity there is a small charge. Gift shop, café and play area on site.
Inigo Jones Slateworks
Discover the skills of working slate, a craft long established in Wales. You can take a self-guided tour or simply browse the slate shop. Inigo has some beautiful pieces for those just wanting a little slate gift or a full set of table wear.
