North Wales has a lot to offer both the serious golfer, and those wishing to take the sport a little more leisurely. There is an abundance of golf courses in the area some truly challenging, most, stunningly eye-pleasing within a 20 mile radius of Ty’n Rhos. The area has nearly enough golf courses to play a round of golf for a fortnight, surely enough for any golfer!
Caernarfon Golf Club
Scenically set between the mountains of Snowdonia & the Menai Strait this Golf Club has been established for over 100 years. This is a spectacular 18-hole course, which at nearly 6,000 yards is a great test for all golfers.
Maesdu Golf Club
Just outside Llandudno, this 18-hole course has panoramic views across the North Wales coastline. The course is varied, interesting and suitable for players of all abilities.
Henllys Golf Club
Located on the Isle of Anglesey near the town of Beaumaris, it is set in mature parkland within the grounds of Henllys Hall.
With a par of 71 this course is really testing but enjoyable.
Nefyn Golf Club
Located on the Llyn Peninsula. This golf course is simply stunning situated along an isolated piece of rugged coastline. This golf course boasts a 26 hole layout with the choice of either playing The Old or The New course.
Abersoch Golf Club
Situated on the Llyn Peninsula. This golf club is described by many as the “friendliest golf course in Wales.” Offering a challenging mix of 18 holes this course is suitable for golfers of all abilities.
Harlech – Royal St. David’s Golf Club
Approximately an hour’s drive to Harlech, however this internationally renowned golf club is certainly worth the drive. Established in 1894 and overlooking Harlech castle it provides a challenging test of golf.
